Collagist, pinhole photographer, silk-screen printer, super 8 filmmaker, and some sort of an obsessive collector, Bill Noir explores and spreads his interest in the image via self-publishing within « Mékanik Copulaire ». His collages are the results of wandering, the combination between research, salvage, the collection of singular images and books, and the time devoted to classification and clearing. The organized «disorder» which characterizes the space of creation. It is the attraction for the image as object which drives his desire to stick. 20th century's printed surfaces, period noble scraps, are an endless source of wonder. A true cornucopia of textures, colors, hues and sizes, the images that populate these ancient books and magazines offer a generous palette to the composer of collages. Thus, it is by associating, combining, confronting images of various origins, that the meaning and the composition is responsible for making the gesture of the collage a brutal act. Engaged, the scream that arises from the sleepy journals, the message underlying which travels through the collective unconscious.
