Our Simply Inked digitally printed collection is using less water with our new digitally printed regenerated ECONYL® Jersey swimwear. Water is saved by printing the ink directly on the fabric instead of going through the conventional water-intensive screen printing process. Digital printing requires less water consumption in the printing process itself, and there is no need for mesh screens, which must be washed after each use in the conventional process. Digital printing also does not require chemicals to sit in waste water, thus reducing the potential for dumping contaminated water into our planet's water supply. True to Volcom, our Simply Inked digitally printed collection is fun, feminine and friendly to the lakes, rivers and oceans the we all love.
*ECONYL® regenerated nylon is produced by recycling lost fishnets and other discarded nylons. The Italian ECONYL® yarn is 100% recycled and recyclable. These ghost nets haunt our oceans and have a propensity to harm marine life below the surface. Recovered nets are upcycled to help avoid the risk to marine life and general ocean health.
